The primary goal was to transform a long established retail business into a scalable omnichannel eCommerce platform capable of managing complex safety footwear catalogs, B2B purchasing workflows, and real time inventory synchronization across multiple retail and fulfillment locations.
AHA Shoes Inc. entrusted us with engineering the digital transformation of an 89-year-old retail legacy. We merged Takken’s Shoes and Carr’s Boots into 805Boots, a highly scalable, multi-tenant digital marketplace specializing in industrial safety footwear.
We guaranteed the operational efficiency of this platform by orchestrating complex B2B corporate compliance portals and omnichannel parity—syncing real-time distributed inventory across multiple California fulfillment nodes.

We're redefining the omnichannel retail experience.
Standard consumer retail is straightforward, but managing corporate safety compliance across thousands of product variants takes logic to a whole new level! We engineered specialized B2B purchasing pipelines to administer employee equipment vouchers. We believe in being a team of architects who solve the most complex, distributed inventory challenges for legacy brands.
Overcoming extreme dimensional complexity.
Footwear requires a multi-axis matrix (sizes × widths × safety toe types). A single boot can easily exceed standard database limits of 100 variants. Our solution: We structurally decoupled complex parent products, separating configurations like “Soft Toe” and “Composite Toe” into unique entities, and utilized dynamic faceted navigation to seamlessly recombine them for the user. We also conquered the “Double-Spend Problem” by establishing real-time point-of-sale inventory webhook synchronization across 4 geographic nodes.

Redefining digital commerce performance.
Look sharp, filter efficiently! We built an orthogonal taxonomy model. Instead of rigid brand categories, users query safety footwear based on contextual occupational environments (e.g., Agriculture, Utilities) mapped directly to ASTM technical compliance standards.

Project by the numbers.
Active Catalog Density
Configured products within a highly complex relational metadata architecture, requiring continuous polling.
Geographic Fulfillment Nodes
Software-enabled routing to completely reconcile inventory across 3 retail stores and 1 central fulfillment hub.
Distinct Job Type Categories
We explicitly map products to highly regulated industrial verticals to change the way of product filtering.
Omnichannel Inventory Sync Accuracy

Services.
Omnichannel Fulfillment Logic
Engineered algorithmic routing that evaluates centralized databases across SLO, Paso Robles, and Santa Maria to facilitate 24-hour local pickup.
Hub-and-spoke inventory synchronization.
B2B Commercial Access
Overcame B2C checkout limits by developing cryptographic password-gated portals that apply dynamic split-tender logic for corporate equipment vouchers.
Isolating complex corporate logic.
Orthogonal Taxonomy
Implemented advanced faceted navigation, allowing workers to bypass brands and filter strictly by technical safety criteria and job environment.
Decreases user cognitive load.
Complex Matrix Engineering
Solved the variant constraint issue by decoupling parent models structurally. Re-unified them via meta-objects ensuring full catalog visibility.
